October 2022:
I’m Mark Boyd. That handsome guy to the left is my online icon, who is a character from Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema’s Romantic Realism painting, “The Discourse”.
It’s been a while since I’ve actively blogged. The world is getting crazy and strange, so I’m starting again.
I’ve been online since before there was an Internet. Back in the days of WWIV and FIDONET. My first email was a MILNET email address from 1987. My first modem connection was in 1981 to the University of Texas from my high school computer lab on a 300 baud suction-cup modem. I was active on alt.religion.scientology.
I cofounded an atheist / skeptic group in 2007/2008. CVAAS.org. I stepped down as president in 2019. I still support the organization.
In my life, I’ve worked in radio and electronics maintenance for the USAF, I’ve been an associate production engineer, a design engineer for a major CCTV manufacturer, and a controls engineer for an immense, international property management company.
My first wife died in January, 2010. We were together for almost 25 years, married for over 21. I remarried on April 12, 2012.
In the past, I blogged on topics that focused on atheism, rational thought, science, and skepticism.
I’ll be changing that up a bit, I think.
If you want to contact me, the best way is probably a phone call or SMS at (559) 892-0102. Don’t be unpleasant.
If you don’t leave a message, you won’t get a call back. If I don’t recognize your number, I probably won’t answer.
For email I am calladus at gmail dot com.
I will try to post at least once a week. We will see if life intrudes.
